ON THE GROUND REPORT
Jun 27 2025 06:41 AM: An absolute cracker of day here on the roof of Australia. The recent storm cycle dropped 40cm of quality snow. It has now settled and formed a great base in readiness for future top ups. Just another 1-2 falls are needed to get the whole mountain fully operational, but for the this time of the season we’re certainly ahead of the ball. At 5.30am its -1.4 with a lightly easterly 6-7kmh and not a cloud to be seen for the moment. We’re heading for a top temp of +4. The Summit, Skyline and Family Run are skiing quite well. Wombat opens tomorrow but there’s potential for a “soft” opening after lunch today. The off piste is very limited and the snow is now crunchy. The groomers are the go for sure. The weekend is looking sensational and a great time to get up here for early season turns. - Harro
